I have recently completed a two week work placement at Designated Associates. I am currenlty a student at Rock Ferry High School, were I have taken GCSE Information Technology (IT). What I hope to be doing in the future is working in an office mainly on computers. So this work placement has really helped me. I was nervous before arriving at Designated and also for the first two days. But everyone at Designated tried to make me feel welcome and did everything possible to do this. Despite their busy schedule they were willing to answer any questions I needed to ask, they were all very helpful and friendly.
When I first arrived on the first day I told them that I would like mainly to use the computers as this is what I want to do in my career. By me telling them this they tried to find me as much as I could do on the computer to help me towards my future of gaining experience. But I also did a lot of things that didn't involved computers such as shredding, logging out letters etc. This helped me to get used to working in an office environment and also doing basic office work. I also learnt how to use GoldMine which they use at Designated, so I have gained a lot of knowledge from working at Designated Associates.
I am very pleased with my decision to work at Designated Assocaites as it will help me further my career in the future when I leave school. I would also want to thank everyone at Desingated for giving me this opportunity; I realy enjoyed working there.
Tasks completed while at Designated Associates.
